Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) 

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program, available through the Emergency Department at St. Rita's Medical Center, provides care and assistance to adult victims of sexual assault. Nurses with special training provide compassionate, confidential and specialized care to sexual assault victims during a focused examination and the evidence collection process.

Victims no longer have to remain silent. They can begin the healing process with the help of the SANE Program at St. Rita's. Nurses assist victims in obtaining ongoing support from various community agencies.
